2 months

Well, obviously I haven't been up here for 2 months but wow, things can change so much.

So first things first, I've changed my theme a couple of times:

More info on my Hiatus

Sorry... I simply can't guarantee that I will be updating my Blogger regularly within 3 months.

I really can't these days.

The most I can do these days: learn coding and make Photoshop edits for my Tumblr.

So while I'll be away from here for a long while, my Tumblr should still be fairly active. c:

I'm on an indefinite Hiatus

I really have to let you know that I actually don't really go on Blogger these days because my life's getting busy. 

I have been teaching myself Photoshop and Coding and the most I can do is to maintain my Tumblr.

Tumblr aside, I'm already feeling the stress and have to delay what I've promised last month over the next 2~3 months.

From now on up to next year, I'm likely to be on and off here.

Wow okay, 6 months is a vast achievement.

World Cup 2014 Hogwarts AU

Sorry for some late posts, I was watching World Cup 2014.

I know it's nothing about Historical Favorites, but these are Hogwarts headcanons I feel like posting.

I might have posted some after the Quarter-finals on Tumblr but before these all go into the Pensieve...

Here they are :)

UP TO QUARTER-FINALS:

• Football (Soccer) = Muggle Quidditch
• Coaches Loew & Klinsmann were once classmates & were both sorted into Gryffindor at Hogwarts
• Somebody from Team Brazil was stupid enough to open the game with an owl goal. Oh no! It's Marcello.
• Suarez had hidden some Magical Creature's Fang in his mouth and the Referee didn't catch him biting the opponent until post-match
• Opponents dragged speedy players' broom or robe to slow them down. 
• Van Persie has a Firebolt and his flight on his broomstick was fabulous. Robben...not so much and at many times, he nearly fell off from his Nimbus2000
• Opponents always find ways to foul players that stand out. Germany's Chaser Mueller & Argentina's Seeker Messi were no exception. 
• Unfortunately Neymar had to rush to the Hospital Wing after Quarter-Final match because Zuniga slammed his Nimbus2001 on his back.
• Ludo Bagman enjoys a wonderful season of fans giving him a lot of Galleons
• If Lee Jordan was to comment like he did at Hogwarts during these matches, he would have been kicked out

SEMI-FINAL UPDATE:

• Everyone from Team Germany squeezed a drop of Felix Felicis onto their last meal before their match with Brazil. No wonder they crushed their opponent 7-1
• Van Persie nearly fell off from his Firebolt during the Semi. 
• Argentina caught the snitch & made it to the final. This made Team Brazil feel ten times worse.

FINAL:

• Team Germany lifts the Quidditch World Cup. No surprise, they each all have a Firebolt in perfect condition.
• Germany scored more but Messi caught the snitch. Not too good for him though, he got sulky after losing.

Tumblr Update: Theme compatibility Issues + upcoming network

Since my Tumblr is approaching its 6 month birthday plus I detected theme incompatibility for laptops for certain pages, I'm working on another theme improvement. Aside from the theme improvement, the Custom URL probably including the username will be changed in place for an upcoming network.

When the URL is changed, I will immediately update all the places where I have added my Tumblr link.

I haven't quite figured out how many places are available for my upcoming network but all Potterheads can join and I'm looking for different talents from graphic making to writing cross-overs ... as long as you are capable of doing any Harry Potter themed discussions in an area of your interest :)

If possible, I will also add a Fandom Family where you can also be associated as a character / person outside Harry Potter :)

What I'm up to these days

So, looking back to how my Tumblr grew in less than 5 months, my promise is finally on the go!

Some cross-over graphics became my side bar decoration of the pages. But most importantly, I thought fan-fiction will probably work out and help others why I sorted Historical Figures to that house and I'm now working on it. Yay!

5 months ago, I don't even know that what I thought about are these things: Fan-fiction, Alternate Universe (AU), head canons, and cross-overs including fan-arts! And up to now, I thought the graphics risk of not working out but alas, my improved Tumblr theme resolved this.

So if you visit here, you should have a rough idea of what I'm up to.

This is named after 2 people, Hermione & Old Fritz. I figured his last name somehow. Since they are my favorites, I combine it together :D

Custom Domain: bookwormgrangers

I love reading and Hermione Granger is my favorite character.


Tumblr: hogwartsproject

The first part is easy, I want a Harry Potter Blog and it works and 2nd part, I took very little time typing it but now with the word "project" I feel like it can fit well with different fandoms, plus, I'm actually working on some projects such as fanfictions which are inspired by AUs.

This is actually a big surprise because someone used this name on Instagram but is available on Tumblr and .co.vu.  This actually attracts Potterheads pretty well.

Hermione Granger's 1st and middle name. Simple and easy to remember.

Tumblr: Feb. ~ June 2014

I always take myself too harshly on how my Tumblr develops over the last 4 months but here it is.

As of Feb. 2014:

• All the contents from one of my former side blog (now deleted) moved to this blog
• Since I set this up during vacation, I can only use an image my laptop stores as header
• I didn't set up any pages yet
• No queue yet
• I was usually afraid to reblog because if I do so, I'll end up with an irregular blogging pattern
• I didn't find many Harry Potter blogs yet

April ~ early June 2014:

• I now have a profile picture in which I'm still using. It's the same as the header.
• I've added an About section on the homepage and also on a separate page kin more detail 
• I also list my Historical Favorites on one page
• I start piling up reblogs and posts on a queue. At first, it is a messy mix between HP and History but became more clean by May. In the end, this worked out because my blog is the most active during my sleeping hours.
• Towards end of May, I started adding Update Tabs (for experiment) in which I schedule that my theme will be changed in a month for good because I don't really like the theme anymore even though it is compatible with all browsers.
• I started interacting with my followers. Thanks to a Potterhead :)
• Between May ~ June, my follower count doubled. 
• I also found many Potterheads and book blogs :)

Now:

• Uses Custom Domain: ohmypotterheads.co.vu
• Since my old header did not work out, a banner with many more historical figures is used instead but still has the original 4 wizards!
• Many pages added including taglists thus navigation page is up. 

If you visit all these pages, you should figure out that I'm obsessing over Hermione & Old Fritz 

• Firework cursor
• Less cluttered update tabs
• Best viewed with Google Chrome or wide screen (desktop computers)
• Still tweaking a couple of pages but it's 80% done

All this hard work committed on makeover to demonstrate this is a Quality Fandom blog :)

I do believe there's always room for improvement and my Tumblr is no exception.
